"Bashat Khair".. A National Initiative Organizing Temporary Sales & Improving Urban Landscape in Al-Baha
Al-Baha Municipality Participates in Implementing the "Bashat Khair" Initiative During Ramadan
Al-Baha Municipality affirmed its support for empowering street vendors and organizing temporary selling activities within a regulated and licensed work environment, contributing to improving the urban landscape and enhancing economic sustainability.
Accordingly, the Municipality is participating in implementing the second season of the "Bashat Khair" initiative during the blessed month of Ramadan, in partnership with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and regional municipalities, as part of efforts to organize the work of street vendors and provide designated locations for them according to approved regulatory and health requirements.
The initiative aims to support and empower beneficiary groups by providing more than (5,600) sales outlets across the Kingdom's regions, enhancing job opportunities, improving the experience for shoppers and visitors, and achieving a balance between providing opportunities and adhering to regulations and instructions.
In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, stated:
"The 'Bashat Khair' initiative represents a national model for empowering street vendors and organizing their activities within an integrated urban environment that takes into account regulatory and health aspects, and contributes to improving quality of life and achieving economic sustainability. We continue to work in partnership with municipalities in various regions of the Kingdom to provide prepared locations that support entrepreneurs and enhance the stability of seasonal activities."
Al-Baha Municipality emphasized that the initiative represents an important step towards developing an organized urban model that contributes to raising compliance levels, achieving stability for seasonal activities, and opening sustainable economic horizons for beneficiaries within the region.
