Al Baha Municipality showcases its smart irrigation experience at LEAP 2026

As part of its participation in Saudi Digital at LEAP 2026, Al Baha Region Municipality showcases its Smart Irrigation initiative, highlighting the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and data-driven technologies to enhance the management and irrigation of green spaces. This contributes to improving operational efficiency, optimizing water consumption, and promoting sustainability.

The experience will be presented by Eng. Ismail Salman Hajad, Deputy Mayor for Digital Transformation, who will outline the municipality’s journey from a traditional irrigation model based on fixed schedules to a smart, data-driven model that enables more effective irrigation decisions and resource management.

This initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to leveraging emerging technologies and data to address operational challenges and transform them into practical digital solutions with tangible impact, supporting the improvement of municipal services and the sustainable management of green spaces.

The initiative is aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build an ambitious nation characterized by efficiency and effective government performance, while maximizing the benefits of digital transformation and modern technologies. It also supports sustainability and enhances quality of life.
