Al-Baha Municipality has intensified its inspection efforts on markets and commercial establishments across Al-Baha city and its governorates as part of its operational plan in preparation for Eid Al-Fitr. The initiative aims to enhance compliance with municipal and health regulations, ensure the safety of displayed products, and protect consumers.
The municipality stated that inspection teams conducted 8,022 field visits, covering commercial shops and food outlets, to verify compliance with regulations and ensure adherence to health requirements and general hygiene standards.
The inspection campaigns resulted in the issuance of 387 violations, with legal actions taken against non-compliant establishments. In addition, 3,870 warnings were issued to establishments that failed to meet requirements, as part of immediate corrective measures and efforts to improve compliance levels.
Al-Baha Municipality affirmed that it will continue to intensify its inspection campaigns in the coming period, particularly with the increased demand in markets ahead of Eid Al-Fitr. It also urged business owners to adhere to municipal regulations and report any violations through official channels, contributing to enhanced food safety and improved service quality for beneficiaries.
