The Mayor of Al-Baha Region, Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Sawat, explained to “Okaz” that the projects completed last year to raise the quality of life amounted to (76) projects, the cost of which exceeded half a billion riyals, indicating that (33) projects, including asphalting, paving and lighting projects, at costs exceeding 215 million riyals, and (13) projects to prevent the dangers of floods and rains, with a total value of more than (101,464,256) riyals, while (11) projects were allocated for municipal facilities, with a total value exceeding (96,327,685) riyals, and (15) projects for parks and gardens, with a value of A total of (88,679,573) riyals, and four projects to treat visual distortion, with a total value of (40) million riyals.
Al-Sawat revealed the (53) municipal projects being implemented in the Al-Baha region, with a total cost of (317,131,192) riyals, including (34) projects for asphalting, paving and lighting, with a total value of more than (220,409,617) riyals, and three projects to ward off dangers. Floods and rains with a total value of approximately 30 million riyals, 9 projects for municipal facilities, the cost of which is approximately (38) million riyals, and 7 projects for parks and gardens, at a cost of approximately (30) million riyals.
Al-Sawat confirmed that the Municipality concluded last year (87) investment contracts from permanent projects, with a total revenue exceeding (306) million riyals, in addition to (108) temporary (seasonal) contracts with revenues of approximately 2.5 million riyals.
He pointed out that the most prominent activities of the concluded investment contracts; Raghadan Tourist Resort Project, Mashari Park Entertainment Project, Honey Tourist Park Project, 4 Star Hotel Project, Restaurants and Cafes Projects, Building and Amran City Project, Model Warehouses City Project, Car Parking Management and Operation Projects, Beverage Bottling Factories Projects, Temporary Projects for Events and Festivals, mobile food carts and entrepreneurs.
