Al-Bakir village

Al-Bakir village is located south of Belgarshi governorate, and is about 5 km from the city center. It is considered one of the largest villages in area and population, as it includes three internal villages: Al-Habb, Al-Sudatin and Shabur. This village is characterized by the fact that its land is fertile agricultural, and there is a torrent stream called "Jalla". Most of the houses of the village consist of one or two floors and their walls were built using cut stones to suit the construction. They are semi-polite and their type of black basalt. Its shortness was done from the inside with a thick layer of clay and milk. Exterior facade formations and architectural openings were also made through stone protrusions. Which was also used in the construction of a number of exterior drawers, which are beautiful and characterized by a high level of construction craftsmanship. However, a large percentage of them are abandoned and destroyed. The roofs were built using tree trunks and above them a layer of tree branches, above them mud and yogurt, and there were found in a number of houses roofs based on rectangular wooden columns toped by a piece of the largest area that resembles the crown of the column and was locally known as (Al-Mazrah). Al-Mazrah is considered a distinctive architectural element of this architectural style in that area. He found in a number of houses the use of bright colors with decorations. It was also noted that the houses of the neighborhood are adjacent, and a number of them are compact, which led to the formation of a number of alleys between them, which creates an architectural fabric that expresses the local style in the planning of the heritage village, which follows the system of fortified villages.
