Al-Karar village is located on top of a natural hill overlooking the surrounding valleys and farms in the northeast of Al-Baha city, and is about 8 km from the city center. Most of its houses consist of one floors, and are deserted and partially demolided. The adjacent between the buildings resulted in the emergence of the village in the form of an architectural fabric that expressed the local style in the planning of the heritage village. A number of modern residential buildings could be seen in the vicinity of the old building community. The walls of the houses were built using stones packed on top of each other in an artistic way that required high professional experience, and their forts were made from the inside with a thick layer of clay and milk. The roofs were also built using tree trunks with a layer of tree branches above it, and above it mud and milk. The supporting center column (Mazrah) was used by the nature of its ornate heritage formation and was found in a number of other buildings consisting of a tree trunk in its natural form. The decorations were also found in a number of village houses adorning the doors and windows, and the bright colors were used in them while other houses were free of any wooden decorations.
