Dar Al-Jabal village is located in the Al-Baha area southwest of the Kingdom, about 12 km from the city of Al-Baha, and is distinguished by its high location overlooking the Tihama plain and has many valles. Most of its houses consist of one or two floors, which are contiguous and contigent, and the predominant percentage of the village houses are partially demolidated and abandoned. The village in general appears harmoniously with the slope of the natural land for its location, despite the distortion from a number of additions of modern building materials as well as the construction of a number of adjacent modern buildings to collect heritage buildings. The adjacence between the buildings resulted in the emergence of the village in the form of an architectural fabric expressing the local style in the layout of the heritage village, and it is characterized by the presence of a number of narrow alleys between the houses and its roof was used using tree trunks and mud. It was built using compact stones as well as stone according to the shape of its natural section, which is with different sizes, shapes and colors, and they were installed on top of each other in a technical way that requires high professional experience, and their short was done from the inside with a thick layer of clay and milk. It is noted that building craftsmen have been creative in the compositions of external facades and architectural openings through stone protrusions and the use of hard stone in the construction of external inclusions in a number of houses. The roofs were also built using tree trunks and wood in the form of a square section and above it a layer of tree branches, above them mud and milk, and there were found in a number of houses roofs based on rectangular wooden columns topped by a piece of the largest area similar to the crown of the column and known locally as (Al-Muzrah). Al-Mazrah is considered a distinctive architectural element of this architectural style in that area. It was also observed that there were a number of decorations that decorated the windows and doors of a number of village houses, and colors were also used to decorate a number of wooden decorations.
