Ghazar village

Ghazir village is located in Al-Baha area, and is about 10 km from the city of Al-Baha, which is one of the villages of Bani Dhabi in Sarat Ghamed. The old heritage community in the village includes a group of molithic and contiguous residential buildings located on the top of the mountain and a number of modern houses have been built below it. It looks like a single castle made up of a group of adherent houses. This residential settlement is characterized by a square tower in the shape of a pyramid and elevated around it and characterized by prominence above it, which is decorated with white merro stone with its beautiful triangular formations. It is noted that construction craftsmen have been creative in dealing with the natural nature of the sloping rocky earth. Most of the houses of this beautiful pool consist of one floor and most are two floors, but they are partially destroyed and abandoned. It generally appears homogeneous with the slope of the natural earth for its location. The construction was carried out using compact volcanic stones, which are of different sizes and various shapes and colors, and they were installed on top of each other in a technical way that requires high professional experience, and their shorts were carried out from the inside with a thick layer of clay and milk. The roofs were also built using logs and wood with a square section and above it a layer of tree branches, above it mud and milk. In a number of houses, a roof was found based on rectangular wooden columns topped by a piece larger area that resembled the crown of the column and was known locally as (al-Muzrah). Al-Mazrah is considered a distinctive architectural element of this architectural style in that area. The use of the tree also came with the use of a tree trunk in its natural form, and it was also observed that there were a number of decorations that decorate the windows and doors of a number of houses.
