Al-Baha Municipality secures first place in the Gulf region at the GCC Municipal Work Award

The Al-Baha Region Municipality has secured first place among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in the sixth edition (2025–2026) of the GCC Award for Municipal Work. The recognition was awarded for the first phase of the "Green Al-Baha Initiative," in acknowledgment of the municipality’s efforts in sustainable afforestation and the promotion of environmental sustainability.

This achievement came as part of a GCC-wide competition for outstanding municipal projects, with the municipality receiving a certificate of recognition signed by the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.

This honor reflects the success of the initiative’s first phase, as well as the ongoing efforts to expand green spaces and enhance the urban landscape within the Al-Baha region.
